Suzanne Virdee: Biography and Images

Suzanne Virdee currently co-presents the BBC’s main evening news magazine for the Midlands with Nick Owen.

Suzanne was also one of the presenters of the news bulletins on Breakfast.

Suzanne joined Midlands Today in 2001 as the presenter of the late evening updates. A year later, she took over from Sue Beardsmore as one of the main presenters of the main evening progamme and in October 2005, she scaled back this role as she joined the Breakfast team.

first job in journalism was as a trainee reporter at the Solihull Times at the tender age of 18. After passing her journalism exams, Suzanne worked for Central Television before heading back to newspapers and working for the Sunday Mercury and then the Birmingham Evening Mail. She then joined BBC WM but after 16 months moved to Central News as a reporter, producer and presenter.

Suzanne is married and enjoys cooking.
